One of the pop-culture phenomenon I grew up with was the Transformers. I remember watching the cartoons as a kid and I just loved it (almost as much as G.I. Joe but since the G.I. Joe movie sucked I'll use Transformers to make my point instead ; ).
I remember (and wish I still had for my kids to play with) the toys too. I remember I wanted the original Optimus sooooo bad but I did get the second one (pic below).
The funny thing was that my Mom wouldn't buy me any Decepticons so all I had was Autobots... which forced me to take the Autobots I didn't like as much and pretended that they were Decepticons so that they could battle royal. Not to run down a rabbit hole but for any parents who ever read this... don't shelter your kids, just protect them, there's a difference.
Anyway, onto my point... One of the things that was so great about the Transformers was the epic battle between good and evil.
The thing that made it so simple, the thing that I loved was this:
You always knew who the enemy was; all their Nazis kept their uniforms on!
However, in the latest film (pic below) we get some equipment for living in dealing with treason.
It turns out that this is extremely relevant due to current headlines about:
The interesting thing is... in both the movie and in real life the same thing happens... both of the traitors got a double tap. Honestly... how else do you deal with treason? Triple taps?
